What W’A.I Studios Ltd does and does not collect through this website. It is a short page, because the answer is: very little.

Last updated: 18 August 2026

SYS.01 Who we are

W’A.I Studios Ltd (“W’A.I”, “we”, “us”) is a company registered in England and Wales under company number 16612775, registered with the Information Commissioner’s Office as a data controller under registration ZC031208. Our registered office and operating base is in London, United Kingdom.

We are the data controller for personal data collected through this website. Any question about this page, or about what we hold: privacy@w-ai.co.uk.

SYS.02 What this site collects

Three things, and the first two happen whether you like it or not because that is how the web works.

Server logsOur hosting provider records the usual: your IP address, the page requested, the time, your browser and operating system. This happens for every request to any website and we cannot switch it off. We do not read these logs routinely and do not combine them with anything else.
Analytics, only if you agreeGoogle Analytics 4, property G-LRMG6960XS. It sets cookies, so it does not run at all until you press Allow on the banner. If you press No thanks, or ignore it, no analytics script is loaded and no cookie is set. We have turned off Google Signals and advertising features; this data is never used for advertising and is not sold.
Email, if you write to usIf you email us, we have your email address and whatever you put in the message. There is no contact form on this site, so this only happens if you choose to start it.
SYS.03 What the engine does with your question

Nothing leaves your browser.

Ask the Engine runs entirely on your own device. The question you type is matched against a knowledge base that was downloaded with the page, and the answer is assembled there. It is not sent to us, not sent to a model provider, not logged and not stored. We could not tell you what anyone has asked it, because we do not have it.

Two other things on the home page do reach a server: the status dial and the daily intelligence ticker each make one read-only request to our own system to fetch the current figures. Those requests carry no information about you beyond what any web request carries.

If that ever changes, and connecting the engine to a live model is something we may do, this section changes with it, before the feature ships and not after.

SYS.04 Why we are allowed to hold it
Server logsLegitimate interests: keeping the site up, secure and working. There is no practical alternative.
AnalyticsYour consent. Give it or do not; withdraw it whenever you like from the Cookies link in the footer.
Your emailLegitimate interests: you wrote to us and would like a reply. If a piece of work follows, the basis becomes performance of a contract.
SYS.05 How long we keep it
Server logsAs long as the hosting provider keeps them, typically weeks rather than months.
Analytics14 months, then Google deletes the event and user data automatically.
EmailAs long as the conversation is live, and afterwards where we need it for tax, contract or dispute records.
SYS.06 Who else sees it

As few people as possible.

Our hosting providerServes the site and holds the server logs.
GoogleAnalytics, and only after you have agreed to it.
Our email providerCarries and stores the emails you send us.
Anyone legally entitledWhere we are required to disclose, or need to in order to establish or defend a legal claim.

We do not sell data, we do not share it for advertising, and there is no advertising on this site.

SYS.07 Where it goes

Google Analytics may process data outside the UK, including in the United States, under the transfer mechanisms Google publishes for its products. If you would rather that did not happen, decline the banner: nothing is sent.

SYS.08 Your rights

Under UK GDPR you can ask us for a copy of what we hold, ask us to correct or delete it, object to or restrict how we use it, and withdraw consent at any time. Ask at privacy@w-ai.co.uk and we will answer within one month.

For analytics specifically, the fastest route is the Cookies link, which reopens the banner so you can change your mind.

If we get it wrong you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk. We would rather you told us first, but you do not have to.

SYS.09 Security, children and changes

The site is served over HTTPS and is a set of static files, which means there is no database of yours to breach, because there is no database.

This site is not aimed at children and we do not knowingly collect data about them.

If this page changes we will change the date below. We will not quietly start collecting something and tell you later.
